Site work for a water / sewer project in Greenville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes the replacement and/or rehabilitation of the following Base Bid and Contingency Item reaches: Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) renewal and replacement of 8-inch Water Main on Howell Street from Perkins Street to Beatty Street (approximately 2,000 linear feet, lf) Base Bid CIPP renewal and replacement of 6-inch Water Main along West 4 th Street from South Pitt Street to just east of a railroad crossing (approximately 690 lf) Base Bid Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty bond, or a certified or cashiers check payable to the order of the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract if it be awarded in conformity with the bid form. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in G.S. 143-129 as amended by Chapter 1104 of the Public Laws of 1951. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the Owners judgment, the lowest responsive bid of a bidder or group of bidders. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein. This project is being funded by a loan from the State Revolving Fund program (Project Number: WIF1988) and Bidders must comply with all applicable State and Federal requirements identified in the bid documents. The project must fully comply with American and Iron Steel provisions for iron and steel products used for the contracted work. MBE/WBE good faith efforts required as a minimum 10 days before bid opening to be compliant with bidding requirements. Bidders shall follow Davis-Bacon and Related Acts labor provisions, which require all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors be paid wages at rates not less than those listed on the prevailing wage rate contained in the bid documents. All applicable provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts shall be followed. Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered. Except as provided in paragraph 00200-16.02, no bidder may withdraw his bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) calendar days. Bidders on this work must comply with all applicable governmental and local agency requirements. No pre-bid meeting will be held. Questions must be emailed in writing to Mr. Garrett no later than 5:00 pm EDT on September 16, 2021. Questions and responses will be published as an addendum.
