Site work for a water / sewer project in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

An unnamed tributary to Nancy Run, which is a tributary to the Lehigh River, is located primarily in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. The stream and streambanks in the Municipal Park have become degraded. Erosion and sedimentation are evident in the stream channel, caused primarily by stormwater. Bethlehem Township has obtained grant funding, and engaged Wildlands Conservancy as the project manager, in order to conduct stream restoration and address safety concerns within the park. The Pidcock Company is the project engineer and has completed design plans laying out the project area, limits of disturbance, and details of the construction sequence. Each Bidder shall deposit with its Proposal a certified check, bank money order or Bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent of the Total Bid as defined in the Instructions to Bidders. The minimum wages paid for all labor employed on this project shall be as established by the Secretary of Labor, Department of Labor and Industry, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and as tabulated in the Project Manual. Project to involve the regrading of approximately 650 feet of an eroded swale immediately north of the detention basin on the Bethlehem Township Municipal Park property, the off-site disposal of excess earth material, the removal of existing riprap in the stream channel to an offsite location, temporary and permanent seeding and its relocation, and soil erosion and sedimentation controls. All questions should be submitted via online by July 20th. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/20/2021 4:00 PM Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. The principal items of work include but are not limited to, The regrading of approximately 650 feet of an eroded swale immediately north of the detention basin on the Bethlehem Township Community Center property, the off-site disposal of excess earth material, the removal of existing riprap in the swale to an offsite location, temporary and permanent seeding (seeding specifications by others), and soil erosion and sedimentation controls.
