**As of August 13, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The scope of the work for A New Recreation Center for the Morgan County Commission, located in Hartselle, Al shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Providing and constructing a new pre-engineered metal building, including split-face CMU base, all interior fit-out inclusive of all work shown on the plans provided. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board of General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of licensing before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his/her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. A copy of the current License shall be submitted with the proposal. A cashier's check or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety company, payable to THE MORGAN COUNTY COMMISSION in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. Nonresident bidders must accompany any written bid document with a written opinion of an attorney at law, licensed to practice law in such nonresident bidder's state of domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal places of business are in the state in letting of any or all public contracts. Each bidder must include the Non-Collusive Affidavit, signed by the bidder. The MORGAN COUNTY COMMISSION, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. Bids may be held by the MORGAN COUNTY COMMISSION, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
