Railroad Culvert at Cardinal Road and Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point Railroad Storm-20.07041. The City of Boiling Spring Lakes proposes to replace a 30" diameter storm culvert under the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point Railroad at Cardinal Road. The work generally includes but is not limited to installation of double 54" diameter reinforced concrete pipes via dry bore and jack method under the railroad along with concrete end walls and rip rap lining. Also included in the work is filling the existing 30" diameter corrugated metal pipe under the railroad with flowable fill. Project Location: City of Boiling Spring Lakes under the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) Railroad at Cardinal Road All culvert installation, existing culvert fill work, and site restoration work shown on the Contract Drawings and not expressly mentioned in the Specifications and all work specified and not showing on the Drawings, but obviously necessary to the proper execution of same shall be performed by the contractor as it is not the intent to delineate or describe every detail of work. No additions to the contract sum will be approved by any materials, equipment and or labor to perform work hereunder unless it can be shown clearly to be beyond the scope and intent of the Drawings and Specifications and absolutely essential to the proper prosecution of the work. As of August 26, 2021, the project is on hold and has not been awarded yet.
