Sealed bids for only Contract No. 4 - Plumbing Construction for the construction of a 3,200 square foot addition including truck bay, wash bay, storage room, and restroom to the existing Caernarvon Township Maintenance Building will be received. The Supervisors of Caernarvon Township have authorized C.S. Davidson, Inc., to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regular meeting of Caernarvon Township. Work generally includes an approx. 3,200 square foot addition to the existing maintenance building located at 157 Boot Jack Road in Narvon, Pennsylvania. The expansion is comprised of a storage room, restroom adjacent to the existing office, breakroom, truck bay, and wash bay located along Boot Jack Road. Work also includes earthwork, stormwater (swale) installation, holding tank installation, site restoration, and utility service extension and upgrades. Each prime contractor is responsible for excavation and/or trenching associated with their scope of work. All appurtenances for complete systems as may be necessary and incidental thereto in completing the Work as shown on the Contract Documents shall be provided even if not specified in the Contract Documents. The plumbing scope of work includes general sanitary drainage and domestic water extended to the new addition, for plumbing fixtures within the building, and radiant floor heating in the storage area and truck and way bays as the base bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for the purchase and installation of the boilers, piping, and accessories for a complete system. The radiant floor heating system (base bid) shall provide heat to the zones the system serves as well as heat the concrete slab-on-grade.
