The Town of Montville will be accepting sealed bids for the Cook Hill Tank Replacement Project In general, the work consists of construction of a glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank and trihalomethane (THM) reduction equipment and associated electrical equipment adjacent to the existing Cook Hill Water Storage Tank, approximately 60-ft of water main to connect to the existing system, a 30 KW diesel standby generator, and a new electrical service. Construction of a glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank and THM reduction equipment adjacent to the existing Cook Hill Water Storage Tank and approximately 30-ft of water main to connect to the existing system. MBE 6.0 percent ; WBE 2.5 percent The Work will be substantially complete within 245 days ; Final completion- 275 days Work Included: Construction of a new glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank and THM reduction equipment adjacent to the existing Cook Hill Water Storage Tank. The major proposed work under this Contract includes: 1. Construction of the new 531,200-gallon water storage tank will include, but is not limited to: a. Excavation and installation of a new tank foundation; b. Construction of a glass-fused-to-steel water storage tank; c. Installation of an internal tank mixer, surface aerator and roof-top blower for ventilation of the air space; d. Installation of a new 3-phase electrical service; e. Installation of a new standby generator; f. Installation of an electrical enclosure for SCADA equipment; g. Installation of an electrical/control enclosure for the tank mixer, surface aerator, and roof-top blower; h. Connection of SCADA equipment enclosure to the existing antennas; i. Installation of 12-in water main and hydrant connecting the existing system to the new tank; j. Draining of existing water storage tank and disconnection from the water distribution system; k. Site work, including installation of a tank overflow channel and detention basin; l. Replacement of the existing chain link fence; m. Piping, site work, equipment systems, structures, instrumentation, control and electrical systems, as indicated on the Drawings. n. Other appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 2. Demolition of: a. Existing chain link fence; b. Existing tank overflow channel; c. Piping and conduit, as indicated on the Drawings. 3. Maintain system flow processes as detailed in Part 3 of this section Addendum #1 has been issued as of 3-6-2023.
