Bidding will be public, utilize free market wages and be received in One (1) Prime Bid for the New Building. The bid shall include all General Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Site Construction. Bidding is for the demolition and removal of the existing building, preparation of the existing site and construction of a new one-story Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Department Station 20 SubStation. 2. Bidding will be public, utilize free market wages and be awarded in one (1) prime contract and shall include: Site Work: Utility upgrades, pavement removal and lawn restoration, pavement patching, line striping, concrete pad and sidewalk, site lighting and bollards. General Construction Work: Demolish and remove the existing building consisting of CMU load bearing block perimeter walls, steel and wood frame roof structure. New cast in place concrete floor and foundation, pre-engineered metal building structure and installed metal roof and wall panels, new metal stud and CMU partitions, gypsum board, new metal doors and frames and storefront windows and new finishes. Mechanical Construction Work: New HVAC and exhaust systems. Electrical Construction Work: New electrical systems. Plumbing Construction Work: New plumbing systems. 3. The prime contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work called for and implied by the plans and specifications. 4. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion two hundred and forty (240) calendar days from the commencement of the work. The date of commencement shall be contained in the Notice to Proceed.
