Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Warwick, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Bid Opening: March 2023 An initial investigation and conceptual design have already been developed. The conceptual layout drawing is included for reference in this RFQ (Exhibit A). The design services in this RFQ will build on the conceptual design to develop plans and specifications that can be used to procure a construction contractor. All phases of this project will require coordination between RIAC, the FAA, and airport users. The project design Scope of Services consists of but is not limited to the following elements: o Relocation of a portion of Taxiway C (see Exhibit A); o Rehabilitate Taxiway C with reclamation; o New lighting, signs and associated electrical systems; o Drainage system improvements; o New taxiway markings; o FAA NAVAID coordination and improvements as necessary; o Geotechnical and borings services and investigations; o Airfield Electrical systems expertise; o Environmental controls, support and permitting, including best management practices for low impact design on an active airfield and appropriate NEPA documentation; o Coordination of design and permitting schedule to meet project milestones and grant deadlines; and o Other related elements to support above scope items.
