St. Louis County is seeking a Contractor(s) to furnish all labor, material and equipment to perform services and work required for the comprehensive demolition, excavation, filling, removal, cleanup, and site stabilization of the tax forfeited property located at 300 Second Street North, Biwabik, MN 55708. This demolition is essential for removing blighted structures and stimulating future economic development. Bid Bond 5% Bidder understands that the County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial informality in a bid, all in the sole discretion of the County. St. Louis County will require the successful Bidder to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond in favor of the County in the full amounts of the Contract for any contract over $150,000. This requirement applies to contracts that are accumulatively expected to exceed $150,000 over time during the Contract term. Materials left on the site after final inspection by the County shall be deemed to have been abandoned by the Contractor and title thereto shall thereupon revert to and vest in the County, without prejudice, however, to any claim which the County may have against the Contractor arising from the action of the Contractor in so leaving such materials on the site. All demolition materials and waste materials must be disposed of at a site approved by the MPCA, County, and/or WLSSD. Weigh Scale Tickets should be collected as proof of property disposal of demo waste.
