As of 09/29/2021, this bid has not been awarded due to over budget, and this might not rebid until the spring of 2022. This Project is located on Mauch Chunk Street over the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad within the City of Pottsville. The particular items of work for the contract include structural bridge repairs, abrasive blasting and painting steel elements, concrete sidewalk repairs and other miscellaneous work. The contracted work is identified more specifically in the Bid Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Pottsville or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10 percent of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. However, the award of the contracts may be delayed by required approval of another government agency or closing on the project funding loans.
