Upgrades, repairs and improvements to the Macdonald-Stewart building located on the University Macdonald Campus within the framework of the deferred assets maintenance program. The scope of the project includes the upgrades of fire protection systems, including the addition of sprinklers, restoration of the envelope, roof, doors and windows, caulking joints, foundations. replacement of ventilation-heating-cooling systems, including rooftop units, pipes and mixing boxes, replacement of water heaters, chilled water pumps, humidifiers, motor control centers, condensate pumps, replacement of the fresh air supply system, drainage systems, partitions of washrooms and sanitary appliances, modifications to emergency showers and eye washers to bring them up to standard, replacement of chemical hoods, vinyl, ceramic, epoxy floor coverings, suspended ceiling tiles, interior doors. The structural work will include reinforcing concrete slabs to follow through with the holes or the addition of equipment on the roof. Civil works may be required in the case of service entrances. TIMELINE: Construction program 17-081 is implemented by construction packages. First construction packages have been already tendered, awarded and are followed in the report under CRM ID names 17-081, 17-121 and 17-121 - Macdonald Campus (Raymond, Barton and Macdonald-Stewart Pavilions), Cooler Replacement (Pre-Purchase) - Lot 1, 17-081 Macdonald Campus (Macdonald-Stewart Pavilion) - Replacement of the 850T Cooler and Related Work. Construction is underway. Tender for subsequent package contractors will be followed in separate report when/if they are issued.
