The work to be performed and provided under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, safety equipment, permitting, erosion and sedimentation control measures, taxes, profit, overhead, testing, startup, and other costs and effort required to complete the following: Removal of approximately 108 linear feet of CMP and replacement with RCP, Installation of approximately 303 linear feet of 8” DIP gravity sewer, Installation of approximately 1,545 linear feet of slip lining existing sewer, Installation of approximately 940 linear feet of 6” DIP water main, Installation of approximately 1,705 linear feet of 8” DIP water main, Installation of approximately 500 linear feet of 10” DIP water main, Installation of approximately 4,672 linear feet of 2” PE gas main, Installation of approximately 547 linear feet of 3/4" PE gas main, Installation of approximately 4,430 linear feet of power/telecommunications ductbank, Removal and replacement of asphalt and striping. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified cashiers check, in the amount of 10% of the base bid, prepared on the form of Bid Bond, section 00410, attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Companys Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570 with an A minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of “Bests Key Rating Guide Property Liability”. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a “Power of Attorney” empowering the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Contractor shall perform construction during the day and make connections from 12 AM to 4 AM. Contractor shall work between the hours of 5 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. Approved road closures may begin at 5 AM, and the road must be re-opened by 4 PM. Work shall not be performed on weekends, federal holidays, and up to ten (10) other days. Contractor will be required to coordinate all work with the City of Covington and other utility owners who have facilities within the project area. The Work shall be awarded in one (1) Contract using the design-bid-build delivery method. The time allotted for final completion of work is 360 consecutive calendar days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise.
