Construction services for the upgrade of approximately 0.9 miles of city pond road and 0.75 miles of williams road located within the city of covington A. This project is approximately 0.9 miles of improvements along City Pond Road starting at the tie in for the current City Pond Road at Williams Road intersection improvements project and ending at the intersection of City Pond Road at Alcovy Road; and approximately 0.75 miles of improvements along Williams Road starting at the limits of the City of Oxford and ending at the tie in to the current City Pond Road at Williams Road intersection improvements project. A conceptual sketch is included in Attachment 1. Owner Project Requirements and Goals include: 1. Widening to one 12' lane with an 8' shoulder in each direction 2. Flatten horizontal curve along City Pond Road 3. Flatten 2 vertical curves along Williams Road 4. Maintain at least 1 full width lane open to traffic at all times during construction B. Stakeholders include the City of Covington and Newton County. C. The City of Covington will work with the selected Design-Build team to optimize value to the City. The City fully embraces a collaborative project delivery approach that emphasizes a cooperative approach to problem solving.
