MEI Project No. M121-109-168 This project includes the installation of sewer utilities along the US 331 corridor from Business 331 to Angler Dr. Construction includes approximately 7,200-ft of 15-inch gravity sewer and manholes, 15,000-ft of 12-inch PVC wastewater forcemain, 7,000-ft of 14-inch HDPE directional bore, two 1,200 gpm master lift stations with 12-ft dia. concrete wetwells, and associated items. Project will be funded by the City of Freeport using city funds. The City of Freeport encourages women owned and minority owned businesses to submit bids on the project. The City of Freeport (City) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The City also reserves the right to reject contractors who in the Citys opinion are not qualified to perform the work based on the pre-qualification package. All Bids shall be firm for a period of 90 days after opening. This includes material prices. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. All bidders shall comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida. The City shall award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; provided however, the City reserves the right to award the contract to a bidder who is not the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if the City determines in its reasonable discretion that another bid offers the City a better value based upon the reliability, quality of service, or product of such other bidder.
