Site work and paving for a road / highway in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The proposed improvements consist of rehabilitating Glen Ave. in Peoria, IL between War Memorial Dr. and University St. and includes removing the existing roadway and appurtenances and the construction of: 10" concrete jointed pavement (29202 sq. yd.), mill and overlay (5156 sq. yd), sidewalk (13749 sq. ft.), driveways (1751 sq. yd.) medians (12872 sq. ft.), curb and gutter (8686 ft.), sodding (9581 sq. yd.), traffic signals (at 2 intersections), signs, storm sewer and related work. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. Within 24 hours after the letting, the two low bidders must file an Affidavit of Availability Form BC 57 in triplicate. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
