Engineers estimate $500,000 - $1,000,000 The Clark County Desert Conservation Program (COUNTY) has identified a need to assist the National Park Service in constructing fencing for the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument (Tule Springs). This project shall consist of two different fence configurations as follows: post and cable fence (approximately 3,600 feet), and post and cable fence with attached desert tortoise exclusionary fencing (i.e., Combo Fence; approximately 5.0 miles). This project shall also include the construction of four desert tortoise guards, two swing gates, one pedestrian zig zag access gate, one horse gate, and approximately 25 tortoise shade structures. The approximate location where fencing and related project components shall be installed is shown in Attachment A, Project Components.
