Replacement of the scale house. The Whitecourt/Woodlands Regional Landfill is located 17 kilometers east of Whitecourt off Highway 43. As part of the landfill operations, all material entering the site is weighed by utilizing a 9-meter truck scale. The scale is operated from an adjacent scale house which is a 9-meter portable trailer. Both scale and scale house have reached the end of their life expectancy and require replacement. TIMELINE: Construction is underway.
