The work consists of providing all bonds, labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and supervision necessary for the safe and effective performance of work as indicated in the contract documents. The project site is located at the ASPA McDuffie Terminal in Mobile, Alabama. All excavated coal material shallbe stockpile within McDuffie Terminal for future mechanical separation and reclamation. In the event that an escort is desired please provide a minimum 24-hour notice.Those escorted are required to have a valid state or federal identification. All vehicles entering McDuffie Terminal are required to have proof of vehicle registration and insurance. Bidder attendance at the pre-bid meeting is Not Mandatory for bidding.However, all bidders are encouraged to carefully examine the site of the proposal A Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least five (5%) percent of the amount bid, but in no event more than Ten Thousand ($10,000) Dollars, shall be furnished in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the Alabama State Port Authority A Performance Bond in an amount not less than the sum bid will be required at the signing of the contract and, in addition, a bond in an amount not less than One Hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, insuring payment of all labor and material Bid proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the words Bid Document Enclosed clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.
