Demolition, site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Remove existing lockers and locker base on wall. Relocate existing lockers to a temporary location which will be determined by the detachment and BGIS. Remove existing block wall in the current locker room to allow for expansion into the existing file room area. All electrical, data conduits, wiring, shelving, counter and equipment on the existing wall of the file room that wall be removed to expand the locker room are to be removed prior to removal the existing black wall and re-located to an area which will be determined by the detachment. Repair existing walls where block wall was removed. Install new block wall to complete locker room expansion. Extend existing T-bar ceiling as required into the newly expanded locker room and supply new ceiling tile to match. Lighting to be re-located, as required. New lighting required in the newly expanded locker room area. Relocate, readjust, or add new sprinklers in area of expansion as required. Remove existing exhaust fan and relocate to new area of the file room outside of the locker room expansion area. Remove two fire dampers in the existing ductwork within the existing wall of the file room and relocate to new block wall within the file room. Remove two (2) ceiling lights in newly expanded locker room area and relocate to a new location within the file room. Remove existing smoke detector in the newly expanded locker room area and relocate to a new location in file room. Extend existing epoxy floor in the locker room to the newly expanded locker room area and paint new walls to match existing. Provide new locker bases once expansion is complete to accommodate new locker arrangement complete with vinyl base. Move lockers back into newly expanded locker room and re-install. Lockers to be secured together and to the walls where needed. TIMELINE Request for quotation from consulting engineering services closed in mid-2021 however, no awards have been made. Project may be republished in the future, pending owner's decision to proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
