As of 10/11/2021 project was not yet been awarded. The award of the project is currently scheduled to be considered by the City Commission at the October 18, 2021 Commission Meeting. The questions will be accepted until Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM via email request to cityclerk@clewiston-fl.gov. The project is titled City of Clewiston USACE Septic to Sewer System Project. The work consists of extending the City of Clewiston's wastewater system to service the existing United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) facility located at 525 Ridgelawn Rd, Clewiston, FL 33440. This site currently utilizes septic tanks and drain fields at each building. The goal of this project is to provide sewer service to the existing site and abandon the existing septic systems. This project includes installing a sanitary sewer system consisting of manholes, gravity sewer mains and sanitary services, a duplex pump station with submersible wastewater pumps, a force main pipeline extending from the pump station site to the City of Clewiston's existing force main system via a directional drill underneath the Industrial Canal and abandoning the existing septic systems. The owner reserves the right to hold all bids for one hundred and eighty (180) days and to reject any and all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to accept the bid in its judgment that serves the owner.
