Estimated Bid Value: $ 2,000,000 License Requirements: Class A or Class B Start/Delivery Date: July 2022 Project Duration: 160 working days Online Q&A: No The City of Pasadena (City) will select a single qualified Contractor to perform a seismic retrofit and tenant improvements of Fire Station 31 and its associated storage garage known as the Wickercraft Building. The scope of the seismic retrofit includes, but is not limited to, the following items: wall anchoring systems for both buildings; installation of new steel beams (drag beams) in the fire station building; diaphragm strengthening at various locations; strengthening of existing moment framing steel column to beam connections; additional anchoring to add in-plane shear transfer; strengthening the moment frame at east lobby wall in the fire station building; non-structructal components; and extending roof drain line at planter area facing Fair Oaks Avenue. Additionally, there are various architectural renovations to the kitchen, living room, restrooms, offices, and dorms including, but not limited to removal and replacement of flooring, ceiling tiles, lighting, furniture, appliances, and cabinetry; removing of office partitions; applying new paint; replacement of fire detection devises; re-roofing; providing new HVAC equipment; and minor electrical improvements. This seismic retrofit scope of work (Plan Set A, Project No. HMGP DR-4344-148-123R) of this project is funded by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funds and the tenant improvements scope of work (Plan Set B) is funded by American Resue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. Contractor is required to comply with all necessary reporting procedures as outlined in the granting agency guidelines.
