IFB Concrete Grinding & Regrooving. TTI Rellis Campus, College Station, TX. Grind and re-groove an existing concrete section located along Taxiway 7 of the Texas A&M RELLIS Campus. The concrete lane width is about 11 ft. and is adjacent to a hot-mix asphalt (HMA) test track on the west side Price(s) bid must be include any costs necessary to complete this task, including but not limited to: Labor, Machinery, Fuel, Hardware, Supplies. 1. Perform grinding to remove existing transverse grooves (maximum depth of 0.25-inch) on concrete section beginning at station 8+45 to station 13+95. Stations are referred from the north end ofthe test track. Perform grinding in a longitudinal direction. The width of concrete surface to grind depends on how close the grinding machine can be operated along the edge of the taxiway adjacent to the concrete test track. Figure 2 shows a segment of the test track adjacent to the taxiway edge. There is 19 inches of concrete section width from this edge not ground from an earlier grinding project. 2. Provide equipment to pump and remove slurry off the concrete surface during grinding. Do not permit slurry to flow across the adjacent taxiway and HMA test track. Dispose of the slurry to satisfy local environmental requirements. 3. Do not overlap passes of the grinding head more than 1 inch. Also, do not overlap passes of the grinding head within 4 inches of the test wheel paths located about 3 ft. and 9 ft. from the taxiway edge. 4. After grinding, re-groove the concrete surface to produce transverse grooves at 1-inch spacings. Re-groove over the width of the surface that was ground. 5. After completion of work, sweep off construction debris, slurry, or residue from grinding and grooving from the concrete test track, and the adjacent taxiway and HMA test track.
