Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Morton Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; and for the construction of a 1,280-square-foot transportation facility.
The current station at 8501 Lehigh Ave. was built in 1976 and is the only Metra station in Morton Grove. It will be demolished and replaced with a new one. The completed project will include new landscaping and lighting with improved site access, traffic circulation, and visibility surrounding the station building. As of December 27, 2024, project started construction October 14, 2024 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2025.
