IEUA is seeking to prequalify construction contractors that are qualified to construct the RP-1 Disinfection Project No. EN11039. The project is expected to be bid for construction in the October 2021 timeframe, with expected construction contract award by December 2021. The contractor shall fully review the project and timeline and note how construction completion can be met, prior to submitting a prequalification package. This should be summarized in their project management approach narrative. The contractor shall also submit a P6 schedule of a similar job as part of the contractors prequalification package. The demolition of the existing sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility, construction of a new sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility, construction of chemical dosing facilities, improvements to the existing sodium bisulfite storage and metering facility, structural and mechanical repairs to the existing sedimentation basin, improvements to provide an out-of-compliance diversion to Lagoon No. 3 and reconstruction of existing improvements affected by the Work, and incidentals for complete a usable facility. The Work consists of all materials, labor, tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, transportation and incidentals necessary to furnish, deliver and install the RP-1 Disinfection Improvements Project, including the demolition of the existing sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility, construction of a new sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility, construction of chemical dosing facilities, improvements to the existing sodium bisulfite storage and metering facility, structural and mechanical repairs to the existing sedimentation basin, and, repair and reconstruction of existing improvements affected by the Work, and incidentals for complete and usable facility. The work includes: 1. Asphalt improvements and new parking lot. 2. The existing 10,000-gallon polyethylene storage tanks and metering pumps shall be demolished from the existing storage location south of Lagoon No. 3. 3. A new sodium hypochlorite storage and metering facility shall be constructed including a new containment structure with canopy, new polyethylene storage tanks, and new peristaltic chemical metering pumps. 4. Improvements to the Old Effluent Structure (OES) and New Effluent Structure (NES) will be constructed to provide a pump mix chemical injection system. The improvements will include the construction of an open pit pump station and associated piping at both the OES and NES. 5. Improvements to the existing sodium bisulfite storage and metering facility will be made to include a power outage response. The improvements include the addition of piping and a fail-open pneumatic valve. 6. Repairs and improvements shall be made to the existing sedimentation basin. The repairs include the replacement of concrete joint sealant, replacement of grout, concrete crack repair, recoating structural steel and piping, and repair and replacement of the sedimentation basin bridge pumps.
