The City of San Diego (City) is requesting proposals to provide civil engineering services for Design of Rancho Bernardo Industrial Pump Station Replacement, (H2125936). The Project proposes to construct a new Rancho Bernardo Industrial Pump Station (RBI PS) to meet maximum day demand and fire flow rate in the Pomerado Park HGL 920 zone. Estimated Bid Value Between $1 Million and $1.5 Million Online Q&A No The scope of the new RBI PS includes the following: Install a new RBI PS, install a new 20-inch steel discharge line and a new 36-inch steel suction line to the new pump station, construct an exterior concrete driveway and pad in front of pump station above discharge header in consideration of heavy equipment operation, install a standby generator and electrical switchgear for emergency operation, install a new security system and a SCADA system, replace the reservoir altitude valve station, and demolish the existing Rancho Bernardo Industrial Pump Station after the new pump station is built and is in service, capping and abandoning the pipe suction and discharge headers, and restore slope and vegetation. Also, as a part of the scope, this project will install an overflow drainage from reservoir to storm water collection system with drain vault (including an air gap separation and a dechlorinating/dosing device), by installing a new overflow pipe via 3 different options: Construction of a new bio-retention basin on the north side of the existing pump station in order to receive the reservoir overflow; Connection of overflow pipe to the existing 6-inch storm drain located between Big Spring Way and Turtleback Road. The existing 6-inch storm drainpipes may have to be upsized (approximately 1,200 feet); Construction of approximately 1,600 feet of new storm drainpipe in the easement. This water easement is 50 feet wide and currently being used for a 36-inch RCSC and 20-inch SCRW water transmission pipe.
