The Board of County Commissioners of Hernando County, Florida reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received in accordance with the Bid documents and the Hernando County Procurement Ordinance. Bid offers shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Official Bank Check in the dollar amount representing not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid as a guarantee to enter into a Contract and furnish a Contract performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Bid price within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of notification of the award. Exparte Communication: Please note that to ensure the proper and fair evaluation of a submittal, the County prohibits exparte communication (i.e., unsolicited) initiated by the Respondent to the County Official or Employee evaluating or considering the submittals prior to the time a decision has been made. Communication between Respondent and the County will be initiated by the appropriate County official or employee in order to obtain information or clarification needed to develop a proper and accurate evaluation of the submittal.
