Site work for a water / sewer project in McAlester, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for site work for a 152,000-square-foot water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of the removal and mechanical dewatering of approximately 3 million gallons of sludge from the 9 million gallon Flow Equalization Basin (FEB9), hauling to and disposal of the dewatered sludge at the Alderson Regional Landfill, removal and disposal of the existing HDPE liner and associated geotextile fabric liner, installation of approximately 152,000 square feet of new 60 mil HDPE liner and geotextile fabric liner in FEB9 The Work includes the following items: a. CONTRACTOR shall remove, dewater, haul and dispose of approximately 3 million gallons of existing saturated solids currently in the Flow Equalization Basin (FEB). Dewatered solids shall be hauled to the Alderson landfill. b. CONTRACTOR shall remove the existing 60 mil HDPE liner and associated geotextile fabric from the FEB and dispose of offsite. c. CONTRACTOR shall restore grading of all disturbed areas to existing grade of the FEB slopes and bottom. d. CONTRACTOR shall remove the existing decant effluent stricture and install a new decant effluent structure in the FEB. e. CONTRACTOR shall remove the existing under drain system and install a new under drain system in the bottom of the FEB. f. CONTRACTOR shall install the new 60 mil HDPE liner and geotextile fabric at the Flow Equalization Basin (FEB9). g. CONTRACTOR shall complete the restoration of all disturbed areas at the East Wastewater Treatment Plant.
