Victoria Street (Regional Road 22) Reconstruction includes widening Victoria Street from South Blair Street to west of Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) to four lanes and re-aligning Victoria Street from 510 m west of Hopkins Street to 410 m east of Hopkins Street. The Victoria Street Realignment will involve closing the existing Victoria Street adjacent to Highway 401 from approximately 300 m west of Hopkins Street to 300 m east of Hopkins Street (Leon's Furniture). TIMELINE: Design is nearing completion., Tender for construction expected late 2026 to pre-qualified contractors. Construction planned for 2027. Pre-qualification was issued under a separate report & is closed (RFPQ-1115-2025). Design for road construction and utility relocations for Victoria Street from south Blair Street to Thickson Road was completed in house by the Region. This project must proceed prior to the Widening of Victoria/ Bloor Street Widening - East of Thickson Road to West of Stevenson Road which is followed separately. Updates may be available late 2026.
