In general the work consists of: Air Services Building: Removal and replacement of one (1) gas fired make-up air unit and associated controls. Removal and replacement of two (2) gas fired furnace systems. Removal and replacement of two (2) gas fired unit heaters. Add select ductwork for supplies and returns. Add bollards to protect new equipment. Work within the DOA and DNR T-hanger consists of the removal and replacement of two (2) gas fired unit heaters The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (DVB): In awarding construction contracts, the Department of Administration shall attempt to ensure that 5 percent of the total amount expended in each fiscal year is awarded to contractors which are minority businesses, as defined under Wis. Stat. s. .75(3m)(a); and shall attempt to ensure that at least 1 percent of the total amount expended each fiscal year is awarded to contractors that are disabled veteran-owned businesses.
