Site work for a mixed-use development in Victorville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of September 13, 2021, this project has been awarded to Pacific Utility Installation, Inc. for $546,741.25. The City of Victorville is seeking a Contractor that will install all transformers, transformer slab boxes, PME's, PME Pads, all connecting conduit, cabling and make all terminations called out on the attached set of plans. The work contemplated by this project is a public work subject to prevailing wages under California Labor Code section 1770 et. seq. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) in effect on the date the work is performed. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a corporate surety bond on the form furnished by the City of Victorville, as a guarantee that the bidder will, if an award is made in accordance with the terms of this bid, promptly secure Workers' Compensation Insurance, Liability Insurance, execute and provide two (2) signed Contracts on the required form, and furnish satisfactory bonds for the faithful performance of the contract, and for the payment of claims of material suppliers and laborers hereunder. Prior to execution of the Contract, the successful bidder shall provide a one-hundred percent (100%) Faithful Performance Bond and a one-hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond based on the bid amount accepted by the City. The Contractor shall pay the City of Victorville the sum ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) per calendar day for each and every calendar day delay in finishing the work in excess of the required completion date as specified above as Liquidated Damages. The City withholds liquidated damages before the accrual date if the anticipated liquidated damages may exceed the value of the remaining work. The City of Victorville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding. The Contractor will install all Transformers, Transformer slab boxes, PME's, PME Pads, all connecting conduit, cabling and make all terminations called out on the attached set of plans. The Contractor will be required to furnish all materials and equipment called out on the BILL OF MATERIALS on Drawing E87 Excluding: 2- 2500KVA and 1-3000KVA Transformers and the 1-15kv Switch Gear PME-12, those pieces of equipment will be furnished by Victorville Municipal Utility Services and installed by the Contractor. The Contractor will be required to complete all necessary trenching to install all items called out on the set of LOT 19 SERVICE CONNECTION plans. The contractor will be required to backfill all trenching required using the DUCTBANK NON-TRAFFIC AREA SPECIFICATIONS on Drawing E-87, No Concrete Encasement or Rebar required, Only 2 sack Slurry mix with red dye on all conduit and substructures. The Contractor will be responsible for all road repairs per city standards where trenching through streets were required to install portions of the project, traffic control plans will be needed for all work done in active roadways. The contractor will be required to complete all trenching and back fill for the natural gas service on the attached LOT 19 PROPOSED GAS SERVICE LINE EXTENSION. Victorville Municipal Utility Services will install the Gas line and make all Natural Gas connection. The contractor will be required to back fill the Gas line service to the attached required trench line detail and below comments. GAS TRENCH DETAIL COMMENTS: o Trench will need a minimum 32" depth to finished grade. This is determined by requiring 24" to subgrade, then allowing for 6" of concrete parking lot and allowing 2" for the pipe. We prefer a 36" deep trench but 32" is minimum. o Trench bottom does not need to be 6" of sand if the soil conditions are OK, we can make the determination. o We will require 6" of sand over the top of pipe to be provided by contractor. o We will provide all pipe and materials, including caution tape. o Contractor will be required to provide all excavating, backfill and compaction for service. ALL CONDUIT, SUBSTRUCTURES AND TRENCHING BACKFILL WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED WITH IN 21 CALENDAR DAYS OF THE START OF WORK. AND COMPLETION OF ENTIRE PROJECT 10 WEEKS FROM START OF WORK TO CPMLETE ENTIRE PROJECT. SEPARATE COST BREAKDOWNS FOR THE BELOW ITEMS WILL BE REQUIRED: 1. THE GAS LINE TRENCHING. 2. ELECTRICAL CONDUIT AND SUBSTRUCTURE INSTALLATION. 3. CABLING INSTALLATION INCLUDING TERMINATIONS.
