**As of September 08, 2021, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $223,704.31** Work shall consist of the following approximate quantities: 8,900 square yards of pavement milling, 1,025 tons of HMA surface course, 650 linear feet of concrete curb, 400 square yards of various concrete work, ADA compliant curb ramps, concrete restoration, various drainage improvements, striping, together with miscellaneous other related work items. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Belmar bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Belmar, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond No interest shall be allowed upon any such check. Please be advised that funds through the Transportation Trust Fund Program are being utilized in this project. The award of the contract for this work will not be made until the necessary funds and permits have been provided by the Borough of Belmar in a lawful manner. Construction shall not begin until permits from NJDOT, NJ Transit and Monmouth County are approved, if required.
