Imperial Irrigation District (IID), an irrigation district established under Division 11 of the California Water Code, Sections 20500 et seq., that provides non-potable water, farm drainage and power services to the lower southeastern portion of California's desert, is requesting proposals from highly qualified Respondents to: Provide all labor, equipment, material, licenses, submittals, certifications, documentation, required permits (including dust control) and all other services necessary to import fill for the earthen canal pad, trench, concrete lining, and finished grade the Oat Canal in accordance with this solicitation. Only persons or firms possessing a current, valid type "A" California Contractor's License will be considered for this work Contractor shall provide a project schedule based on the canal outage for the week of November 8, 2021 through November 12, 2021 The Oat Canal, from Station 29+61 to Highline Road, is a dirt channel with extensive erosion/sloughing of the canal banks that IID's South End Division operations. Staff is recommending to concrete line, because of excessive operation and maintenance, including seepage and vegetation grown in the canal. The existing earthen Oat Lateral Canal will require removal of vegetation, debris & unsuitable material from the channel, re-grade and an approximate import of 19,000 cubic yards of fill material in order to be concrete lined.
