As of September 28, 2022, an engineer has been selected, however, design has not begun. Design firm information has not been disclosed. This project may be done in several phases. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to September 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The plan will support the environmental restoration of the Shelton canal, the historic preservation of the Shelton canal locks, and establishment of public open spaces within the project boundaries of the Shelton Canal Locks Park. The Selected firm must meet all municipal, state, and Federal AA and EEO practices and requirements. MBE / WBE and SBE firms are encouraged to apply. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
