Site work for a water / sewer project in Shoreline, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The King County Housing Authority (KCHA) will accept bids from qualified general contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to perform the following: The Lake House Waste Lines project is comprised of (but not limited to) providing a Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) structural liner or a Spin Cast Pipe (SIPP) coating to the existing waste piping system. The main waste lines run under the building's concrete slab. The size of the cast iron pipe ranges from 4" and 6". Contractor's base bid will include reaming the 4" and 6" waste line piping removing burrs, roots,scale, and dirt on the inside of all pipes within the drawing scope. Bid to include any necessary concrete patching, wall repair or landscape restoration where work was performed. Recent video footage of existing waste lines is available from KCHA. The basement level consists of one existing exterior clean out at the South exit of the building. Contractor to install a total of five, 4" double sweep cleanouts with flush brass cleanout plug, ring and cap to be installed. Of the five cleanouts, one will be installed on the exterior of the building and is to be bedded in 5/8" minus crushed rock, and level with finish grade at landscape areas. Contractor will provide labor, necessary equipment and material to cut and replace concrete floor to expose sewer line where new clean-outs need to be installed. Contractor to confirm exact locations and include all work associated with the removal of concrete power and telephone lines are running through the middle of the each concrete hallway. Existing slab conditions contain conduit less than 2" embedded below. The depth of the slabs exceed more than 8". Contractor to include this information with their base bid. Contractor also responsible to match existing carpet removed in hallways for new cleanouts. All Bids must be Time and Date Stamped at KCHA - Capital Construction Office by the above Due Date and Time. a. No Bids will be accepted after that Date and Time b. No Bids Faxed or Email will be accepted Amount: Five (5%) Percent of the Total bid must accompany Each Bid greater than onehundred fifty ($150,000) dollars. Payable to: King County Housing Authority Process: Bid Bond or Certified Check will be returned to the Unsuccessful Bidders within Ten (10) Days after the Contract Award. Bonds Must Be Original, No Photocopies or Scanned Bonds Will Be Allowed Projects valued over one hundred fifty thousand ($150,000) dollars require a one hundred (100%) percent Performance and Payment Bond. (See Section C - Contract Documents). Provide with your bid proposal, a written statement from the contractor's bonding agent of the contractor's ability and capacity for providing a one hundred (100%) percent Performance and Payment Bond for the project. The statement shall be made on the official letterhead of the bonding company and signed by an authorized agent of the bonding company The contract award will be contingent on full performance bonding, or equivalent and contractor's ability to meet KCHA insurance requirements as outlined in the bid documents. Bidders should note that the current prevailing Non-Routine Maintenance wage rates and weekly payroll reporting requirements apply to this project.
