****Please note that bidders MUST directly obtain the bid documents from MJ Engineering and be listed on our plan holders list to be eligible to bid the project.**** The Project includes four prime contracts which are described as follows: Contract No. 1 Construction Contract generally includes interior finish replacements including resilient tile flooring, ceiling systems, framing, drywall, and finish carpentry. The work also includes the installation of a new sewer lateral and packaged grinder pump system. Work shall be substantially completed on or before December 23, 2021, and ready for final payment by January 20, 2022. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis, with allowances, if included. The envelopes containing the bids must be sealed and addressed to the Town of Milton Town Clerk, 310 Northline Road, Ballston Spa, New York 12020 and must be designated as aEURoeTown of Milton Town Hall Interior RenovationsaEUR. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. The Town of Milton is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the bid. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. A pre-bid conference will not be held.
