Renovation of a detention facility in Osage, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Project calls for the replacement of the current HVAC system. The Mitchell County Jail, HVAC Upgrade project shall consist of two new geothermal pumps, two new heat pump loop pumps,, plate and frame heat exchanger, geothermal supply/return piping to connect the jail to the courthouses geothermal system via the plate and frame heat exchanger, multiple high efficiency condensing hot water boilers, hot water pumps, a variable refrigerant flow HVAC system, electrode humidification system, room terminal units, dedicated outside air units, indoor air handling units, ducted air distribution system, control system upgrades, electrical system upgrades, new mechanical equipment spaces in the attic, and incidental structural and plumbing work. Also included in the base bid work is the demolition of specific components. All work is within the city limits of Osage, Iowa. All project work shall be substantially complete by October 29, 2022. All contract work must be completed and project closed out by December 31,2022. General Project Location: Mitchell County Jail and Mitchell County Courthouse, 212 S. 5th Street, Osage Iowa 50461 for base bid and control system work for the base bid.
