Renovation of an educational facility in High Point, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 40,000-square-foot educational facility.

A brief description of work in the project follows: o Roof Size is approximately 40,000 sq. ft. o Tear-off existing membrane down to the structural deck and installation of a temporary watertight roofing membrane. Deck type varies with each roof area. o Insulation system for Base Bid shall be cellular Lightweight Insulating Concrete (LWIC). o The replacement membrane assembly consists of the application of PVC single-ply membrane fully adhered to the insulation. Scope of Work includes installation of new perimeter wood nailers and edge metal. o Work includes all sheet metal fabrications shown on the contract documents and as specified. o Roofing membrane installation shall be requiring on-going inspections by the membrane manufacturer during the installation process and will be eligible to receive a 20 year NDL material and labor warranty, full-system including the LWIC and membrane. A 5% bid security as well as a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. General Contractors must have a general license classification for at least UNLIMITED BUILDING or S (ROOFING) in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled "Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses" must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.
