Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to install a reinforced concrete ADA compliant sidewalk at the Veterans Park that will connect to the existing asphalt parking lot and existing concrete sidewalk. The sidewalk will provide connectivity from the existing parking lot to the pavilion. The Contractor shall be qualified to provide such services as: 1. Conducting site assessments of existing conditions. 2. It is recommended that contractor visit site before bid. 3. Adherence to all details and specifications on the Sidewalk Improvement Plan. 4. Obtain approval of the layout of all sidewalks by Marion County Parks & Recreation, including verification and compliance with vertical and horizontal requirements. 5. Cleanly cut roots and removal of root debris as necessary. 6. Importing, placing and compaction of fill as required. 7. Construction of sidewalks including but not limited to installation of form boards, reinforcement, pouring, curing, finishing, cutting control joints, expansion joints, cleaning of joints and edges, removal of form boards, add sod edges and site clean-up. 8. Ensure transitions between asphalt and concrete are ADA compliant. 9. Dispersal of excess fill. 10. Meet the requirements of completing the project as stipulated or implied. 11. The new concrete shall be protected from the elements and vandalism.
