Renovation of a transportation facility in South San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

A Public Works contract consisting of furnishing and installing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The work required is to replace the existing North Base bus wash system with the following new equipment: System controls, motors, pumps, brush assemblies, spray arches, water recycling unit and related piping and structural supports. The scope of work includes demolition and disposal of the 1995 bus washer. The Agency will reuse select components of the existing structure - drainage/collection pits, water storage tanks and utility connections. Bidders bidding as the prime contractor shall possess a valid California State Contractor's License, Classification B - General Building Contractor and/or Classification C-36 - Plumbing Contractor. Bidder's attention is directed to the Instructions to Bidders for specific requirements It is the policy of the Agency to ensure non-discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in the award and administration of contracts that it awards. It is the intention of the Agency to create a level playing field on which Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) can compete fairly for contracts and subcontracts relating to the Agency's construction, procurement, and professional services activities. The Agency has established an SBE goal of fifteen percent (15%) for this contract. Bidders who meet or exceed this goal will be eligible for the 5% bid preference.
