No: (323) 923-2626 Fax: (323) 771-9473 NOTICE INVITING BIDS GAGE AVENUE BUS SHELTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Contract Time: 110 Working Days (Procurement Period); 85 Working Days (Construction) DESCRIPTION OF WORK The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing bus shelters, benches and trash receptacles at 17 bus stop locations on Gage Avenue, and one location on Florence Avenue; and includes the construction of decorative concrete pavement at each bus stop. The successful contractor will be required to provide: (1) Liability insurance naming the City of Bell as additional insured; (2) Proof of workman's compensation insurance coverage. Due to ongoing COVID-19 health concerns, Bell City Hall is closed to the public. o Paving Removals, Excavations, Backfilling and Compacting
o Purchasing of New Bus Shelters & Site Furnishings
o Installation of New Bus Shelters, Benches, Trash Receptacles and Signage
o Installation of New PCC Decorative Paving
o Adjusting Utility Box Covers and Other Incidentals and Appurtenant Work Project includes all other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper completion of the Project. It is the intent of this contract to have the contractor perform the GAGE AVENUE BUS SHELTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FY 2020-2021 IN THE CITY OF BELL, and other appurtenances in accordance with these SPECIFICATIONS and PLANS.
