Major items of work include milling and resurfacing, turn lane construction, ADA improvements, drainage improvements, guardrail upgrades, highway signing, and pavement markings. Bridge No. 460120 over Johnson Bayou has an asphalt overlay and is included in resurfacing. For purposes of funding, the costs associated with constructing the new turn lane identified in the Contract Plans will be paid for under FPID 437368-1-52-02. Additionally, Utility Work by Highway Contractor water main relocation and adjustments to manholes and valves owned by the City of Panama City will be paid for under FPID 437368-1-56-01. Pre-qualification Is Required to Bid on This Project For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00 A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects.
