Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Midway, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of constructing a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to provide drinking water that meets all federal and state regulations. The new WTP will treat ground water from existing and future wells to remove hydrogen sulfide through aeration and provide disinfection. A Chemical and Control Building to house the Electrical/Control Room and chemical feed equipment is included in the Scope of Work. This project also includes a backup diesel generator, electric power supply, transformer and switchgear, high-service pumps, transfer pumps and the construction of two (2) 150,000 gallon steel tanks. The existing WTP facilities shall be demolished upon completion of the new system. Contractor must be bondable and insurable at the levels required. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of greatest amount bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount will be required upon award of a contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity. It is the Owner's intent to issue the Notice to Proceed at the Pre-Construction Meeting with the performance period to begin upon issuance.
