Description

Renovation of a library in North Aurora, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The Owner will receive bids for the repair of the east building facade of Messenger Public Library in North Aurora, Illinois 60542. The Work will include: minor demolition, wood studs, wood siding, carpentry work, minor drywall, sheet metal flashing, doors and hardware, painting, minor site grading, concrete slab on grade and sealant improvements. BASIS OF BIDS: Bids will be a single contract, stipulated sum. The Work will commence on Monday, October 4, 2021 and be performed such that the Project will be Substantially Complete in phases as indicated in Document 00 31 13 - Preliminary Schedule. A Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the total Bid is required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any errors, omissions or irregularities in the bids or the bidding procedure when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve its best interests. Any bid which is not accompanied by the required bid security or by any other documents or certifications required by the Bidding Documents, and any bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, is subject to rejection at the sole discretion of the Owner. Prevailing wage rates will apply and must be included in the Bid amount.
