The Project Classification for This Solicitation Is: "B" - $100,000 - $500,000 The MBE subcontracting participation goal for this solicitation is: 0% (No Split) The MBE participation shall be a percentage of the BASE BID. The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions." If bidders elect to attach forms Electronically, the apparent low bidder will be required to submit the original bid bond within 72 hours of notification from procurement officer. The base bid shall include without limitation, labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal, overhead, profit, insurance (including builder's risk insurance, if applicable) etc. NOTE: Refer to the General Conditions for Construction Projects, 10.01: Insurance Requirements. The deadline for questions has been established as September 1st, 2020 @ 2:00 p.m., to ensure that there is enough time to allow for the A/E to provide responses and possible Addendum issuance if necessary. Prevailing wage rates apply to all contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The project will address 3 seep zones adversely effecting two properties in Lonaconing Md. Reclamation will include the installation of 260 L.F. footer/sub-drains to collect the seeps, construction of 325 L.F. of 18" culvert pipe to transport surface and subsurface water to the existing drainage channels; providing drop inlets along the street as shown to convey drainage to a stable outlet; installation of rip-rap discharge pad to safely outlet collected drainage; the re-surfacing of approximately 535 LF of existing paved streets and all other work described in these plans and specifications. All lengths stated here are approximate and should be verified by the contractor.
