Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Project consists of -Fire system replacement to be performed in a 30+ year old, 3 supported level precast parking structure that consists of four (4) stair/elevator towers and multiple smaller enclosed spaces. General work items include horn/strobe replacement, heat detector replacement, smoke detector replacement, fire system panel replacement, fire pump sensor installation, remove and replace all exposed conduit for fire equipment, cap and abandoned in place all conduit routed through concrete, etc. Specific work items include obtaining all necessary permits required to perform the work, submitting system to FM Global Insurance for acceptance, connecting system back to the existing panel board in the terminal per the drawings, and coordinating with elevator manufacture for any existing/new system connections to the existing elevators. All questions about meaning or intent of Contract Documents shall be submitted in writing (via email) with subject "Bid Question - PTIA Fire Alarm System Replacement" to Kevin Driggers of Walker Consultants, kdriggers@walkerconsultants.com. All questions must be submitted by Friday, September 10, 2021 at 4:00 pm. Questions received after the due date will not be answered. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. It is the policy of the Owner that Minority Businesses shall have the opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part by the Owner in order to maximize opportunities for Minority Businesses in the Owner's projects. By submitting a bid under this solicitation, the bidder certifies to have reviewed all documents in reference to the Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specification Sections, Drawings, addenda and modifications to the Contract Documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of the project manual and including but not necessarily limited to printed material referenced by any of these documents so to complete the work as indicated in the documents. The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that with respect to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and air opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration of an award. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 90 days. The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to reject all bids and re-advertise, or to reject all bids without further action, whatever the Authority deems to be in its best interest. and fully completed by five months after project award
