Design & Construction of White Street Landfill Phase III Leachate Collection System The City of Greensboro is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) to complete a design-build project at the City of Greensboro's White Street Landfill located at 2503 White Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27405. The project is related to upgrading and modernizing the piping and electrical system associated with the landfill's Phase III leachate collection system. The project will include the re-design of all the internal piping and electrical infrastructure located inside the leachate system's secondary containment system. This project will also require the inspection, repair (if necessary), and re-sealing of the secondary containment system's concrete floor. The budget estimate for this project Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($700,000) inclusive of all costs and fees. Time is of the essence in the design and repair of this leachate system. The ability to start and complete this project quickly is worth 25% of the criteria points in this project. Also critically important to this project is the diversity of the Design/Builder's team. Up to 20 points are available to Design/Builders who include Minority and Women Owned firms as part of their team. Insurance Requirements: General Liability Insurance, including but not limited to coverage for all premises and non premises operations, independent contractors, broad form property damage coverage, including explosion, collapse and underground property damage hazards, personal injury liability protection including coverage relating to employment of persons, contractual liability protection, and products and completed operations coverage. This insurance shall provide bodily injury limits of not less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence and not less than $2,000,000 in the aggregate, and with property damage limits of not less than $500,000 for each occurrence and not less than $500,000 in the aggregate. The General Liability Insurance shall name the City of Greensboro as an additional insured, and the insurance shall be primary and non-contributory to any other insurance that may be available to the City. The scope of this project shall include but not be limited to the following: engineering design, contract administration and construction services for the above-referenced project. All aspects of the project, from design through completion are included in this scope of work. The Design/Build firm will be responsible for all services necessary to redesign, upgrade, and install a modernized stainless steel piping system and associated pumps, and electrical system, which shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Pre-planning, programming, schedule and budget review. 2. Preparing site plumbing and electrical design plans. 3. Development and refinement of cost estimates and project schedules. 4. Prepare a plan to inspect, repair (if necessary), and reseal the concrete floor of the secondary containment system. 5. Removal and disposal of the original piping materials 6. Project closeout, as-built drawings, establishment of warranties, guarantees and training. Final startup and certification of electrical and plumbing systems. The City also reserves the right to perform all or some of the services described in this document with its own work force.
