Site work for a water / sewer project in Downers Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Stormwater pump station modifications - new concrete support base, piping discharge and pump rail modifications, and installation of external access and piping for vacuum maintenance. This item shall consist of modifying the existing pump station located at 5327 Brookbank Road, Downers Grove, IL 60515 to accommodate the new mounting height of the existing pump, furnishing and installing a new by-pass piping connection system, and placing the station back into operation. This work shall consist of the following: 1. Existing sump pump: to be temporarily removed, stored, and re-installed after work is complete. 2. Existing pump base elbow: To be temporarily removed and re-installed at new raised height on top of new cast-in-place concrete base. New anchors to be cast into new concrete base for the existing base elbow, size of anchors per manufacturer's recommendation. 3. Existing three inch (3") ductile iron discharge piping: To be modified to accommodate raising of the pump and base elbow, Contractor to furnish and install new Megaflange to reconnect base elbow to discharge piping. 4. Existing pump rails: To be modified to accommodate raising of the pump and base elbow. Contractor to reconnect rails to the existing base elbow. 5. Concrete floor preparation: Contractor to roughen the existing concrete floor and drill in new #5 rebar dowels into existing floor of wet well structure
