Renovation of a fire / police facility in Oakville, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Town of Oakville (the town) invites tenders for construction services described as: Renovations to the fire fighters sleep quarters and to the captain's office. Work includes updating the flooring, the lighting, replacing the "murphy beds" etc. At each Fire Station, the areas of work will be limited to updating the Firefighters sleep/dorm room and the station's Captain office. Scope of work in both of these areas includes: replacing the existing carpet flooring with new vinyl plank flooring, replacing the existing suspended T-bar ceiling with a similar new T-bar ceiling, replacing the existing fluorescent light fixtures with new energy efficient LED light fixtures, replacing the existing lockers with new lockers, and converting the existing Murphy beds to new floor mounted beds. Please Note: All work is to take place during active working hours. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure the site is cleaned at the end of each day and that the Firefighters have a clean bed to sleep in each night. The estimated starting date for this project is September 20, 2021. The term of the agreement will be in effect until the completion of the Deliverables and is to be completed by November 26, 2021.
