Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Plymouth, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
The project scope includes: Gut renovations and additions of (6) units to create ADA compliant layouts. Bathroom renovations, kitchen renovations, painting, and flooring overlay at (54) units. Parking lot re-milling and minor expansion. Tree removal. Community building kitchenette expansions, bathroom renovations, and interior finishes upgrades. Community building addition. Electrical panel replacements, CCTV security system and emergency generator installation. The Housing Authority of the Town of Plymouth is publicly updating the dates in the Request for Proposal (RFP) previously advertised on November 14, 2021. Other than the schedule of dates changes, there are NO other changes to the RFP Invitation to Bid. All addenda issued for the project to date can be reviewed on the Advanced Reprographics Plan Room. All addenda issued will be sent to contractors registered on the Advanced Reprographics Plan holder's list. The Housing Authority of the Town of Plymouth reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids; to waive any diminutive informality or to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Housing Authority. No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every Request for Interpretation (RFI) should be in writing addressed to Erin Benken, ebenken@qamarch.com. To be given consideration, RFIs must be received by 5:00pm, Monday, December 20, 2021. Bidders are required to attend the walkthrough on Friday, November 19th, 2021 at 10:00am of the property or the bid will automatically be rejected. A. Observations and data obtained during the site visits represent conditions during that time span only. Moisture content, fungal ecology, moisture content of building materials, and psychrometric variables are intrinsically dynamic and can vary dramatically and impact the scope of work. The HMAC shall verify conditions and quantities prior to submitting bid. B. The work specified herein shall be the removal of mold impacted materials during the course of asbestos abatement and PCB remediation by persons who are knowledgeable, qualified, and trained in the cleaning, removal, treatment, handling, and disposal of these materials (HMAC). C. The HMAC shall have a "Competent Person" in control on the job site at all times during the microbial remediation. This person must comply with this specification and the standards set forth in the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) S-500, Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration - Third Edition, the IICRC S-520, Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation - Second Edition, and the Connecticut Department of Public Health, Guidance for Mold Abatement Contractors. D. Deviations from this Specification require the written approval of the Owner. E. It is the HMACs responsibility to notify the Owner and Consultant of the discovery of any additional areas of microbial contamination not identified in the scope of work. F. Any damage caused during the performance of remediation activities shall be repaired by the HMAC (e.g., paint peeled off by barrier tape, nail holes, water damage, broken glass, etc.) will be the sole responsibility of the HMAC. The HMAC is responsible for protecting all objects in work areas that are permanent fixtures or too large to remove (except those which will be removed as part of the remediation or renovation such as roofing materials). QA date - 2:00 pm on 01/03/2021
