As of November 15, 2023, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the final design phase and is planned for construction in 2025. This project is included in the Town of Apex's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Phase 1 - Ten Ten Road to Horton Park Development This project would connect Jessie Drive to NC 55, providing a major thoroughfare between Ten Ten Road and NC 55 south of US 1. The road would serve development of adjacent land, including industrial and commercial areas. In the event of major closures or delays on NC 55 or Ten Ten Road, it would provide an east-west detour. Without it, adjacent development would be responsible for building sections of Jessie Drive, but it is unlikely that the entire route from NC 55 to Ten Ten Road would be completed. In the interim, development will burden existing connections, which are either already congested or offer less capacity. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
